Missing 15-year-old with autism found safe in Amherst, family says - WMUR Manchester

Nashua Police said a missing teenager who has autism was found early Sunday morning.

The 15-year-old was reported missing Saturday evening, and had been last seen around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Nelson Street.

Shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday, Nashua Police reported the teen had been located.

Officers in Amherst located the teen while investigating an unrelated crash on Route 101A in front of Wal-Mart just after midnight.

Police were responding to the scene when the teen reportedly walked through the crash site. Officers recognized him and notified Nashua Police.

It is unclear how he ended up in Amherst, but police do not suspect any criminal activity.
